Publication Ethics 
Pro-life Journal adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. These principles apply to all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

A. Duties of Authors
1. Ensure that the manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
2. Provide accurate and complete citations for all referenced data, opinions, and prior works.
3. Include all individuals who have made significant contributions as authors.
4. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
5. Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be returned for revision or rejected.
6. Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy of data and provide raw data if requested by editors for verification.
7. Ethical Clearance: Research involving human participants or animals must include an ethical approval statement.
8. Manage references using Mendeley or other reference managers according to the journal’s citation style.

B. Duties of Reviewers
1. Provide objective, comprehensive, and constructive reviews.
2. Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts under review.
3. Not use any part of the manuscript for personal benefit.
4. Declare any conflicts of interest and decline the review if such conflicts exist.
5. Review manuscripts in accordance with COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

C. Duties of Editors
1. Make publication decisions based on reviewers’ evaluations and editorial judgment.
2. Maintain confidentiality of authors' and reviewers' identities.
3. Ensure fairness, objectivity, and transparency throughout the editorial process.
4. Declare and avoid conflicts of interest.
5. Ensure editorial independence: decisions are not influenced by author identity, institutional affiliation, or funding sources.
6. Handle all ethical concerns following COPE Flowcharts.

D. Duties of Publisher
1. Ensure that all publication processes follow recognized ethical guidelines.
2. Safeguard the academic freedom of authors, editors, and reviewers.
3. Support the integrity and preservation of the scientific record.
4. Collaborate with COPE in handling ethical misconduct.

Jurnal Pro-life menerapkan standar etika publikasi tertinggi sesuai pedoman Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Etika ini berlaku untuk seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam proses publikasi: penulis, editor, mitra bestari (reviewer), dan penerbit.

A. Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Penulis
1. Menjamin bahwa naskah merupakan karya asli, belum pernah dipublikasikan, dan tidak sedang dikirimkan ke jurnal lain.
2. Menyertakan seluruh kutipan, data, serta pendapat pihak lain dengan rujukan yang benar.
3. Mencantumkan semua pihak yang berkontribusi signifikan sebagai penulis.
4. Mengungkapkan setiap potensi konflik kepentingan.
5. Pemeriksaan Plagiarisme: Semua naskah diperiksa menggunakan Turnitin. Naskah dengan similarity > 20% akan dikembalikan untuk revisi atau ditolak.
6. Integritas Data: Penulis wajib menjamin keakuratan data dan menyediakan data mentah jika diminta editor.
7. Persetujuan Etik: Penelitian yang melibatkan manusia atau hewan harus menyertakan pernyataan persetujuan etik.
8. Mengelola referensi menggunakan Mendeley sesuai gaya sitasi jurnal.

B. Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Reviewer
1. Memberikan penilaian yang objektif, menyeluruh, dan konstruktif.
2. Menjaga kerahasiaan naskah yang sedang direview.
3. Tidak menggunakan isi naskah untuk kepentingan pribadi.
4. Menyatakan dan menghindari setiap konflik kepentingan.
5. Melaksanakan review sesuai Pedoman Etika Reviewer COPE.

C. Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Editor
1. Membuat keputusan akhir mengenai kelayakan naskah berdasarkan hasil review.
2. Menjaga kerahasiaan identitas penulis dan reviewer.
3. Bertindak adil, objektif, dan konsisten dalam proses editorial.
4. Menyatakan dan menghindari konflik kepentingan apa pun.
5. Menjamin independensi editorial: keputusan tidak dipengaruhi identitas penulis, afiliasi institusi, atau sumber pendanaan.
6. Menangani kasus etika sesuai COPE Flowcharts.

D. Tanggung Jawab Penerbit
1. Memastikan seluruh tahapan publikasi mengikuti prinsip etika publikasi.
2. Menjaga kebebasan akademik penulis, editor, dan reviewer.
3. Mendukung pelestarian integritas ilmiah dalam seluruh proses penerbitan.
4. Berkolaborasi dengan COPE dalam menangani pelanggaran etika.
