A. Scope & Focus
The Pro-Life Journal publishes research articles, reviews, and scientific communications in:
1. Biology Education: Biology teaching and learning, Classroom Action Research, Learning Media Development, Learning Theory, Learning Model Development, Biology Learning Evaluation, and Curriculum in Biology.
2. Biology: Botany, Zoology, Ecology, Taxonomy, Systematics, Morphology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biodiversity.
3. Related Disciplines of Biology and Biology Education: Ethnobiology, Ethnobotany, Ethnozoology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Agriculture, Food Science, Nutrition and Health, Environmental Science, and Science Learning.
The Pro-Life Journal is published three times a year: March, July, and November.

B. Submission Guidelines
1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
2. Submissions are made through the journal's OJS platform.
3. Manuscripts must follow the official article template (see Section G).
4. File format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
5. Similarity must be below 20% (Turnitin).
6. Articles may be written in English or Indonesian.
7. Research involving humans or animals must include an ethical clearance statement.
8. Authors must ensure data accuracy and agree to provide raw data if requested.

C. Editorial & Peer Review Policy
1. The journal applies double-blind peer review.
2. All manuscripts undergo initial screening (scope, format, plagiarism).
3. Manuscripts passing screening are assigned to a Section Editor.
4. At least two independent reviewers evaluate each manuscript.
5. Editorial decisions include Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
6. Approved manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading.
7. Review Timeline:
- Initial decision: ± 2 weeks
- Review cycle: 2–4 weeks
- Final decision: 8–12 weeks

D. Publication Ethics
The journal follows COPE Core Practices and COPE Flowcharts.
Author must:
- ensure originality and scientific integrity,
- avoid plagiarism and unethical research practices,
- disclose conflicts of interest,
- provide ethical clearance statements when required,
- manage references using Mendeley in APA Style 7.
Reviewer must:
- review manuscripts objectively,
- maintain confidentiality,
- declare conflicts of interest.
Editor must:
- ensure fairness and editorial independence,
- avoid conflicts of interest,
- handle ethical issues using COPE Flowcharts.

- The journal is fully open access.
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
- All articles are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

b. Tables and Figures
1. Tables
- Tables must be presented within the manuscript (not as separate attachments).
- The table title should be placed above the table, in Times New Roman, font size 11, single-spaced (1.0), and not bolded.
- Table content should be written in Times New Roman, font size 10, single spacing (1.0).
- Tables should follow an open table style (with only horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the table, below the column headers; no vertical lines; and no fully boxed tables).
- Tables must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2, etc.) according to their appearance in the manuscript.
- The data source should be included below the table if necessary.

2. Figures
- Figures must be of high quality and placed within the manuscript, close to the relevant text.
- Figures should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).
- Figure captions should be placed below the figure, in Times New Roman, font size 11, single-spaced (1.0).
- Figures should be original documents or have appropriate copyright permission.
- If figures contain subjects or identifiable objects, the authors must obtain consent for publication from the respective parties.
- Accepted image formats: JPG, PNG, or TIFF with adequate resolution (≥300 dpi).

I. Conflict of Interest Statement
All authors must declare any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work. If no conflicts exist, authors must state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

J. Submission Requirements
Authors must check and acknowledge the following before submitting:
1. The manuscript is a research article or scientific study written in English or Indonesian.
2. The file format is Microsoft Word (.docx), following the journal template.
3. Manuscript formatting meets the following:
- Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: Top & Left 3 cm, Right & Bottom 2 cm
4. Manuscript length is max 25 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
5. Total word count is 3,500–7,500 words.
6. Abstract is max 250 words, written in English.
7. Keywords: maximum five words.
8. Writing and bibliographic rules follow the Author Guidelines.
9. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section, the author has followed the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review.

Jurnal Pro-Life menerbitkan artikel penelitian, ulasan, dan komunikasi ilmiah dalam bidang:
Pendidikan Biologi: Pengajaran dan pembelajaran Biologi, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research), Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran, Teori Belajar, Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran, Evaluasi Pembelajaran, dan Kurikulum Biologi.
Biologi: Botani, Zoologi, Ekologi, Taksonomi, Sistematika, Morfologi, Biokimia, Mikrobiologi, dan Keanekaragaman Hayati.
Ilmu Serumpun Biologi dan Pendidikan Biologi: Etnobiologi, Etnobotani, Etnozoologi, Farmasi, Kedokteran, Pertanian, Ilmu Pangan, Gizi dan Kesehatan, Ilmu Lingkungan, serta Pembelajaran Sains.

B. Pedoman Pengiriman
1. Naskah harus asli, tidak diterbitkan, dan tidak ditinjau di tempat lain.
2. Pengajuan dilakukan melalui platform OJS jurnal.
3. Naskah harus mengikuti templat artikel resmi (lihat Bagian G).
4. Format file: Microsoft Word (.docx).
5. Kesamaan harus di bawah 20% berdasarkan pemeriksaan Turnitin.
6. Artikel dapat ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris atau Indonesia.
7. Penelitian yang melibatkan manusia atau hewan wajib mencantumkan persetujuan etik (ethical clearance).
8. Penulis wajib memastikan akurasi data dan bersedia menyediakan data mentah apabila diminta untuk verifikasi.

C. Kebijakan Editorial dan Peer Review
1. Jurnal menerapkan sistem double-blind peer review.
2. Setiap naskah menjalani pemeriksaan awal (ruang lingkup, format, plagiarisme).
3. Naskah yang lolos diserahkan kepada Editor Bagian sesuai bidang keahlian.
4. Setidaknya dua reviewer independen menilai setiap naskah.
5. Keputusan editorial meliputi: Terima, Revisi Kecil, Revisi Besar, atau Tolak.
6. Naskah yang diterima akan melalui proses penyuntingan bahasa, copyediting, layout, dan proofreading.
7. Linimasa Peninjauan
- Keputusan awal: ± 2 minggu
- Siklus review: 2–4 minggu
- Keputusan akhir: 8–12 minggu

- Menyediakan data mentah jika diminta.

2. Tabel dan Gambar
a. Tabel
- Tabel harus disajikan dalam naskah (bukan sebagai lampiran terpisah).
- Judul tabel harus ditempatkan di atas tabel, di Times New Roman, ukuran font 11, spasi tunggal (1.0), dan tidak dicetak tebal.
- Isi tabel harus ditulis dalam Times New Roman, ukuran font 10, spasi tunggal (1.0).
- Tabel harus mengikuti gaya tabel terbuka (dengan hanya garis horizontal di bagian atas dan bawah tabel, di bawah header kolom; tidak ada garis vertikal; dan tidak ada tabel yang dikotak sepenuhnya).
- Tabel harus diberi nomor berurutan (misalnya, Tabel 1, Tabel 2, dll.) sesuai dengan kemunculannya dalam naskah.
- Sumber data harus disertakan di bawah tabel jika perlu.

- Gambar harus berkualitas tinggi dan ditempatkan di dalam naskah, dekat dengan teks yang relevan.

- Keterangan gambar harus ditempatkan di bawah gambar, di Times New Roman, ukuran font 11, spasi tunggal (1.0).
- Gambar harus berupa dokumen asli atau memiliki izin hak cipta yang sesuai.
- Jika gambar berisi subjek atau objek yang dapat diidentifikasi, penulis harus mendapatkan persetujuan untuk publikasi dari masing-masing pihak.
- Format gambar yang diterima: JPG, PNG, atau TIFF dengan resolusi yang memadai (≥300 dpi).

1. Naskah adalah artikel penelitian atau studi ilmiah yang ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris atau Indonesia.
2. Format filenya adalah Microsoft Word (.docx), mengikuti template jurnal.
3. Pemformatan naskah memenuhi hal-hal berikut:
- Ukuran kertas: A4 (210 × 297 mm)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Spasi baris: 1.5
- Margin: Atas & Kiri 3 cm, Kanan & Bawah 2 cm
4. Panjang naskah maksimal 25 halaman, termasuk tabel, gambar, dan referensi.
5. Total jumlah kata adalah 3.500–7.500 kata.
6. Abstrak maksimal 250 kata, ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris.
7. Kata kunci: maksimal lima kata.
8. Aturan penulisan dan bibliografi mengikuti Pedoman Penulis.
