About the Journal

Scientific journals are strategic means for publishing community service. A journal is a periodic publication in the form of articles published regularly, usually at specific intervals. Scientific publication is a primary requirement for promotion and demonstrates an academic's expertise reputation at the national and international levels. The reality is that the need for this publication does not align with the difficulties many scientific journals in Indonesia face in publishing regularly due to the inability to obtain worthy articles. The procedure for writing research journals often causes confusion for educators such as teachers, lecturers, and instructors, even though in our current educational era, journals are a primary requirement for various occasions such as promotion, performance assessment, and others.

Generally, journals cover a wide range of material but are very concise, typically consisting of 6 to 8 pages, yet each sentence holds scientific value. The purpose of creating a journal is to develop a written dedication and serve as a reference for other community servants engaged in community development activities. Journals generally contain numerous references that serve as writing guides for each article. The types of articles written are not limited to research reports but can also include literature reviews.

The Character Development and Enhancement Institute (LPKK) at UKI is developing a periodic scientific journal publication. This journal is named: EPIGNOSIS Journal. This journal serves as a platform for the academic publication of faculty members, including the general public, for the dissemination of community service results and intellectual thoughts, including literature reviews. The development of this journal is hoped to lead to its accreditation as a National journal.
