Abstract

This study aims to enhance the literacy and numeracy skills of marginalized children through an interactive learning approach based on educational games. The background of this activity stems from the limited educational access and inadequate learning resources available to children from low socioeconomic backgrounds. A participatory approach was applied by integrating playful learning methods that are contextual, engaging, and child-centered. The activities involved children actively in various games designed to stimulate reading, writing, counting, logical reasoning, and social interaction skills. The results indicate a significant improvement in learning motivation, logical thinking ability, and children’s confidence in expressing their ideas. Furthermore, social interaction between participants, facilitators, and the surrounding community became more inclusive and supportive, fostering a positive learning environment. Game-based interactive learning proved to be an effective medium to build self-confidence and reduce educational disparities among marginalized children. Therefore, this approach serves as a creative and practical model for non-formal education contexts, particularly for children who have limited access to formal schooling.
