Abstract

The program “I Am Happy Because I Am Not Alone” aims to instill in children the understanding that true happiness does not come from worldly possessions but from a life close to God and in healthy relationships with others. The activity was conducted at Bersinar Orphanage in Jakarta with participants ranging from first to sixth-grade students. The method involved worship, a devotional session based on Matthew 5:1–12, educational games, and the distribution of prizes and certificates. The results show that a spiritual approach combined with interactive activities effectively enhances children’s understanding of genuine happiness, boosts self-confidence, and strengthens social bonding. The participants demonstrated great enthusiasm during the sessions, both in listening to the devotion and engaging in games. For the organizers, this activity also served as a valuable learning experience in ministry, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and social responsibility. Overall, the event successfully created a joyful, meaningful, and faith-building learning atmosphere for the children.
