Abstract

The LESTARI program at Panti Asuhan Bersinar is an educational initiative aimed at fostering children’s awareness, responsibility, and creativity in environmentally friendly waste management. This program utilizes Game-Based Learning, allowing children to learn how to sort, recycle, and process waste through interactive and enjoyable activities. The results indicate positive responses from participants, reflected in high enthusiasm, active participation, and curiosity in understanding environmental concepts. Program evaluation highlights the need to enhance visual media, provide caregiver training, and strengthen collaboration with the community to ensure program sustainability. The program’s impact extends beyond environmental knowledge to include character building, creativity, and social skills development. This initiative demonstrates that interactive and participatory approaches are effective in internalizing sustainability values while shaping an environmentally conscious generation from an early age. These findings provide a foundation for the development of broader and sustainable environmental education programs in the future.
