Abstract

Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems are among the renewable energy technologies with significant potential in Indonesia due to abundant solar radiation throughout the year. PV system performance is influenced by panel tilt angle, installation configuration, and partial shading conditions. This study analyzes the effect of 50% partial shading and tilt angle variations (10°, 20°, 30°) on the performance of a 40 Wp PV system in Rooftop and Ground-mounted configurations, evaluates daily energy production based on Peak Sun Hour (PSH), and validates field measurements using PVsyst   simulation. The research was conducted at FT UKI, East Jakarta during March–May 2026. The results show that the Ground-mounted configuration with a 10° tilt angle achieved the best performance, producing a daily energy output of 94.379 Wh under unshaded conditions with a PSH achievement of 49.16%. Under the combined condition of tilt angle variation and 50% partial shading, the daily energy output decreased to 81.432 Wh with a PSH achievement of 42.41%. The PVsyst   simulation results showed a trend consistent with the field measurements, although the simulated values were generally higher than the measured results.
