Strategi Komunikasi Interpersonal Pasangan LDR (Long Distance Relationship) dalam Menyelesaikan Konflik Emosional melalui WhatsApp

Abstract

This study aims to understand the interpersonal communication strategies of Long Distance Relationship (LDR) couples in resolving emotional conflicts through WhatsApp. This study used a qualitative appoarch with phenom onological method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six informants eho were in LDR relationships and actively used WhatsApp became the primary medium for mainting emotional closeness in LDR relationships. Emotional conflicts generally arose due to delayed replies, jealousy, communication uncertainty, and misunderstanding in text-based communication. The study also found that openness, empathy, verbal support, as well as the use of voice calls and video calls were effective interpersonal communication strategis in resolving emotional conflicts and mainting relationship stability
