About the Journal

Journal of Physics in Teaching, Educational Research, and Applications (JPTERA) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (FKIP-UKI). The journal is published twice a year (April and October) and operates under an open-access policy, allowing readers to freely access and download all published articles.

JPTERA provides a scholarly platform that bridges physics education, pure physics research, and applied physics studies. It aims to promote the advancement of physics teaching, the understanding of physical phenomena, and the development of innovative applications of physics in technology and daily life.

The journal welcomes empirical and theoretical research in the areas of:

  • Physics Education and Teaching Innovation, including curriculum design, digital pedagogy, assessment, and learning strategies.

  • Fundamental and Applied Physics, covering studies in mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, materials science, energy, and computational physics that have educational, technological, or societal relevance.

  • Interdisciplinary and Contextual Physics Research, integrating physics with environmental studies, sustainability, green technology, and community-based science learning.

Through these domains, JPTERA encourages collaboration among educators, researchers, and practitioners to strengthen the connection between conceptual physics, educational innovation, and real-world applications, contributing to the realization of Indonesia Emas 2045.
