PENGARUH PAPARAN KONTEN EDUKATIF TENTANG KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI AKUN @perempuan TERHADAP KOMPETENSI SELF DEFENSE FOLLOWERS

Abstract

Sexual violence is a social problem that is rife in both social and digital environments. The development of media is now used not only as a means of entertainment but also as a means of education, including education about sexual violence. The purpose of this study is to determine wether there is an influence of the Instagram account @_perempuan_ on the self defense competencies of followers against sexual violence. This study uses media exposure theory (McQuail, 2010) and Self defense (Hollander, 2016). The method used in this study was quantitative by distributing an online question to 100 respondents. The result show that the coefficient of determination is 0.148 or 14,8%, indicating that the Insttagram account @_perempuan_  has be a positive on the self defense competence of followers in preventing sexual violence. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis is accepted.
