ANALISIS KADAR KALSIUM DALAM SUSU KAMBING MURNI MENGGUNAKAN METODE TITRASI KOMPLEKSOMETRI
Abstract
Abstract
Pure goat milk is an important source of minerals, particularly calcium, which plays a
crucial role in maintaining bone and dental health. Calcium content in milk may vary
due to biological factors of livestock and processing methods; therefore, an accurate
analytical method is required to determine calcium content quantitatively. This study
aimed to determine the calcium content in pure goat milk using the complexometric
titration method and to evaluate the application of this method for calcium analysis.
The research was conducted experimentally in an analytical chemistry laboratory by
titrating pure goat milk samples with a standard EDTA solution using Eriochrome
Black T as an indicator at optimal pH conditions. The results showed that the calcium
content in pure goat milk was 122.4 mg/100 mL. This value indicates that pure goat
milk has a relatively high calcium content, although slightly lower than that of UHT
goat milk. The complexometric titration method proved to be effective and reliable for
the determination of calcium content in pure goat milk and can be applied as a simple
method for quality control of dairy products.
