http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/sp/article/view/6114

This research examines the interpersonal communication patterns between coaches and students in the context of youth soccer development at the Tunas Betawi Soccer School (SSB) in Srengseng, West Jakarta. The study aims to understand how communication between coaches and students influences soccer coaching within the SSB environment. Qualitative research methods were employed, utilizing participant observation and interviews to collect data from several coaches and actively involved students in the soccer coaching program at SSB Tunas Betawi.Findings indicate that effective and supportive communication between coaches and students plays a crucial role in creating a positive learning environment and building strong relationships. This communication not only enhances the technical and tactical aspects of soccer coaching but also supports broader personal and social development among students. Coaches who can deliver instructions clearly, provide constructive feedback, and motivate students positively tend to create an atmosphere conducive to optimal learning. Furthermore, the interaction between coaches and students also significantly influences the development of students' character and mental attitudes towards sports. The implications of this study underscore the need for improving communication patterns in youth sports coaching contexts. This includes a better understanding of individual learning styles, emotional management, and motivating students to achieve their optimal potential in sports. These findings contribute significantly to the development of more effective coaching practices beneficial for children's development at SSB and other sports environments.
Muhammad Zidane Munir, Sunengsih D. http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/sp/article/view/6117

Ondel-ondel is a distinctive Betawi art form characterized by large puppets made from bamboo weaves, adorned with masks and palm fiber hair. This study aims to alter public perceptions regarding the use of Ondel-ondel as street performer attributes, employing intercultural adaptation theory. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with interviews conducted with five purposively selected informants, specifically Betawi residents in Petukangan Utara who have never used Ondel-ondel for busking. The Betawi community in this area is divided into urban Betawi, who are more technologically savvy and educated, and peripheral Betawi, who are less educated and typically work as traders. The study found that the Betawi community's perception of Ondel-ondel as a street performer attribute is divided into two: some view it as cultural preservation, while others see it as damaging the cultural image of Betawi and disturbing street order. Economic factors are one of the main reasons for the use of Ondel-ondel for busking. Data analysis was conducted using two types of coding: open coding and selective coding, to extract information from interviews with informants. The results of this study are expected to provide input to the government and society on ways to preserve culture without sacrificing the intrinsic cultural values.
Choirul Umam Sanwani

http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/sp/article/view/6131

This study aims to explore the meaning of the concept of empowered women in the Barbie movie through audience reception analysis using Ien Ang's theory. The Barbie movie was chosen as the research object because it represents the evolution of the feminist movement and features strong and independent female characters. The method used is audience reception analysis, where participants watch the film and are interviewed to explore how they understand and interpret the scenes and characters in the movie. The results show that the empowered women depicted in the Barbie movie are defined as women who are resilient and have a deep understanding of their own potential, women who are equal to men, women who operate within group strength, and women who are overly dominant. This was derived from the in-depth interpretations of each informant, which were then categorized into good and bad criteria according to Ien Ang's analysis. Audiences who identified similarities between the film's story and their personal experiences tended to feel more connected and validated in their understanding, which falls into the good criteria according to Ien Ang. Conversely, audiences who experienced significant differences between their reality and the film's story tended to feel less satisfied or even reject the conveyed message, placing them in the bad criteria.

Keywords: Empowered Women, Barbie Movie, Feminism, Audience Reception, Active Audience
Naomi Forintan Ayhan

http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/sp/article/view/6390

The paper addresses the rising concern in Japan over China's growing influence in the Asia-Pacific region, which has led to increased tensions and security dilemmas. Japan's perception of China as a threat, particularly due to its military expansion and assertive policies, has had a significant impact on its foreign policy decisions. http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/sp/article/view/6496

The exclusion of Barito Renewables Energy (BREN), Indonesia's largest renewable energy company, from the FTSE Global All Cap Index has highlighted critical gaps in global climate finance and the role of index providers in shaping investment flows. This exclusion resulted in significant market volatility, reflecting the influence of major index providers like FTSE Russell, MSCI, and S&P Dow Jones on emerging markets. BREN's focus on geothermal energy underscores its importance in Indonesia's renewable energy transition, contributing to nearly 40% of the national renewable energy targets. However, the lack of transparency in FTSE’s exclusion criteria raises concerns about equitable access to global finance for developing nations. This paper explores the implications of BREN’s exclusion, the broader issues in ESG investment, and the potential for a revised anthropocentric International Relations theory to drive sustainable economic growth in Indonesia. The study employs a qualitative research methodology, drawing on primary data from Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), FTSE Russell, and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), as well as secondary data from financial reports, media analysis, and market research. The findings reveal the inconsistencies in FTSE’s screening process, raising questions about transparency and the potential for arbitrary decision-making that disproportionately affects emerging markets. Additionally, the exclusion underscores the broader misalignment between global index criteria and the sustainability efforts of developing nations.

Key words: Barito Renewables Energy (BREN), FTSE Global All Cap Index, global climate finance, Indonesia clean energy, index providers.
Verdinand Robertua
