Abstract

In most educational institutions’ daily life, various conflicts involving individuals or groups occur. The conflicts can be differentiated in to five forms: a) conflict with in the individual; b) conflicts between individuals; c) conflicts among members of one group; d) conflicts between educators and administrative personnels; and (e) conflicts between organizations. Conflicts are in evitable in an institution. Conflicts can also be positive and negative forces. The management, therefore, should not eliminate any conflicts, except the ones causing bad impact. Some types or levels of conflict may even cause to change or to innovate. Thus, conflict is not something to be feared. It is something to be managed so that it contributes to achieve the goals of the organization.
