Komplikasi Neurologi Penyakit Ginjal Kronik pada Anak

Abstract

Abstrak Penyakit ginjal kronik (PGK) merupakan kelainan struktur atau fungsi ginjal yang terjadi lebih dari 3 bulan. Penyakit ginjal kronik dapat menyebabkan berbagai komplikasi yang meningkatkan morbiditas dan mortalitas. Komplikasi tersebut dapat sebagai akibat langsung penyakit ginjal maupun komplikasi terapi yang diberikan. Komplikasi neurologi merupakan salah satu komplikasi penting yang memengaruhi morbiditas dan mortalitas dan dapat mencapai 32% kejadian pasien PGK. Komplikasi neurologi yang dapat ditemukan antara lain: ensefalopati uremik, neuropati perifer, neuropati autonom, neuropati kranial, restless leg syndrome, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, gangguan tidur dan sindrom neurologik akibat terapi dialisis. Masing-masing komplikasi memiliki patofisiologi dan penanganan yang berbeda-beda. Deteksi dini dan tata laksana yang tepat terhadap berbagai masalah neurologi tersebut akan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien PGK.

Abstract Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as abnormality of kidney structure and function for more than 3 months. These chronic kidney diseases have several complications that will increase morbidity and mortality. The complications can be directly caused by the kidney disease itself or secondary to the effect of treatment. Neurologic complication is one of the important complications that influence morbidity and mortality with the incidence was 32%. These neurologic complications are uremic encephalopathy, peripheral neuropathy, autonomic neuropathy,cranial neuropathy, restless leg syndrome, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, sleep disorder and neurologic syndrome caused by dialysis. Each of these complications has different pathophysiology and treatment. Early detection and right treatment for these complications can increase the quality of life of CKD patients.
