This research was conducted using a qualitative method with data collection techniques of library research and discourse analysis. The research data was collected using secondary data collected through libraries, journals, books, articles, electronic media, websites, as well as speeches related to the presidential election. The findings show that there is sexism manifested in Islamic leadership discourse, such as gender stereotypes and the exclusion of women from high leadership positions. However, the post-Megawati Soekarnoputri presidential election showed significant changes in terms of gender inclusion in politics, with female candidates being seriously considered and greater participation of women in political campaigns. This research has important implications in the context of Muslim-majority Indonesia. By understanding the discourse of Islamic leadership and gender inclusion in politics, better gender equality can be achieved in Indonesian society.
Rana Lalu, Eka Nurdiansyah Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Inada: Kajian Perempuan Indonesia di Daerah Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/inada/article/view/5142 Sat, 29 Jun 2024 08:58:13 +0000 Latihan Yoga Saat Haid untuk Mengatasi Nyeri Dymenorrhea Solusi untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Hidup Remaja Putri http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/inada/article/view/5944
Yoga during menstruation is an activity of providing yoga movement exercises in reducing or overcoming menstrual pain. Women in the drama Suara Hati Istri are always depicted as weak, unappreciated, always looked down upon, must obey their husband's authority and must not go against what their husband says. Husbands always do what is beneficial for them personally without involving women/wives in their lives. In the show Suara Hati Istri, the couple's household in the drama still strongly depicts the concept of patriarchy, where the man is considered to be the head of the household who manages everything, and family members must follow these rules. This research uses the theories of Saussure and Roland Barthes. Barthes put forward semiotic theory. This theory studies how signs in a culture can be arranged in a certain code. signs are tangible, can be absorbed by human sensory senses, signs can only be said to be signs when they can be interpreted. Saussure divided signs into 2, namely signifier (signifier) and signified (signified). Saussure focused more on the complex way in which sentences are formed and how sentence forms form meaning. The research method used by the researcher is a critical paradigm with a qualitative approach where the researcher uses primary data in the form of thumbnails of each drama broadcast on the video application. The conclusions in this research describe women who are always looked down on by their husbands, women who live in a household with a strong concept of patriarchy, where these women/wives live with full pressure and their daily lives are always filled with tears. The concept of patriarchy is formed by societal stigma where men are considered to have authority, authority, must be obeyed, and have power in the family, which indirectly makes men free to apply the concept of patriarchy.

Key words: image of women, patriarchy, household.
Ridini Batmaro Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Inada: Kajian Perempuan Indonesia di Daerah Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/inada/article/view/5883 Sat, 29 Jun 2024 15:04:55 +0000 Gender and Democracy: Tantangan Calon Kepala Daerah Perempuan dalam Pemilihan Umum Kabupaten Tanah Datar http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/inada/article/view/5849
Local elections (Pilkada) serve as a means of realizing the sovereignty of the people to produce a democratic government and are utilized as a tool for the constitutional replacement of leaders. The 2020 General Election for the Regent of Tanah Datar Regency was held to elect the Regent and Deputy Regent for the period 2021 – 2026. In analyzing these factors, researchers employ the concept of challenges faced by female regional head candidates in the local elections. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate several challenges faced by female regional head candidates in the 2020 local elections in Tanah Datar Regency, including socio-cultural and economic barriers. Firstly, there is still a strong patriarchal view in Tanah Datar. This culture views that men are central and must be the most glorified figures. This understanding then indirectly places women as subordinates or parties whose voices do not need to be considered. In its development, women continue to experience repression by society, both in terms of education, economics and culture. However, the patriarchal culture internalized by society today is experiencing a shift in several aspects. For example, in the household, decision making is no longer placed in the hands of men, but is often based on joint decisions. One of the shifts discussed in this research is the role shift that occurs regarding women's roles as mothers. For this reason, this research seeks to discuss how the dominant role of mothers in patriarchal culture is represented through the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap.

This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap which represents patriarchal culture in Batak families. Using Semiotics theory, Roland Barthes describes how signs can provide meaning or messages. In this research, signs are discussed from each scene shown in the film. Each scene was then examined to see how the dominant role of women was depicted in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. Based on this, the research results show that there is a dominant role of mothers shown in this film. This dominance is not indicated in the patriarchal culture that is often internalized by society, but instead is something new that many people are not aware of. The dominant role of women is divided into 3, namely the mother's hegemony over the family, the female character's resistance to repression carried out by the male character, and space to voice opinions. Through these findings it can be concluded that women are no longer depicted as weak figures, instead women are able to oppose and resist the patriarchal cultural system which tends to glorify men.
Yehezkiel Anderson Sihombing, Melati Mediana Tobing, Chontina Siahaan, Marshelia Gloria Narida Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Inada: Kajian Perempuan Indonesia di Daerah Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar http://ejournal.uki.ac.id/index.php/inada/article/view/5357 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 06:01:24 +0000
