Potensi Rumah Perlindungan Pekerja Perempuan (RP3) di Kawasan Industri Krakatau Steel Cilegon dalam Pemberdayaan Pekerja Perempuan
Abstract
The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Kemen PPPA) issued Ministerial Regulation of PPA No. 1 of 2020 concerning Provision of Houses for Protection of Female Workers in the Workplace on March 31, 2020, as an effort to optimize the protection of female workers. This study aims to obtain an overview of the utilization of the Women's Worker Protection House (RP3) in the Krakatau Steel Industrial Estate, Cilegon. The method used is Participatory Action Research with data collection techniques through observation, distributing electronic questionnaires, in-depth interviews with resource persons, managers, and victims. Data collection was carried out for 2 (two) months, from June - July 2022. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively on the results of the questionnaire and qualitatively on the results of in-depth interviews. House of Protection for Women Workers in Industrial Estates owned by PT. Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon or (KIEC) was inaugurated on December 10, 2019 in Cilegon City, Banten. Currently the management of PT KIEC has been changed to PT Krakatau Sarana Property (KSP). Since its establishment on December 10, 2019, RP3 Cilegon has periodically and continuously carried out various activities, both in the form of socialization as well as education and assistance. However, there are still many women workers who do not know of its existence so that the utilization of RP3 is still very limited. Cases that had been handled were in the form of termination of employment (PHK) for female workers, after self-isolation and being declared negative for COVID-19. The case was then resolved by agreement between the company and the workers with the facilitation of RP3 and the relevant agencies.
