Pelatihan Bantuan Hidup Dasar Bagi Orang Awam
Abstract
The main cause of the low survival rate for Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) victims is the delay in reporting and administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Remembering the importance of basic life support in determining the level of success of subsequent medical procedures and patient survival. The aim of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills to residents about BHD.
This target group includes a group of people, both men and women in the Purwokerto City Asthma Gymnastics Club Association in the Banyumas Regency and surrounding areas, consisting of health cadres, housewives, 30 workers. The location for the activity is RT 4, RW 2, Sumbang Village, Purwokerto. The method of implementing activities is pre-test, post-test, lecture, discussion, simulation and demonstration. The implementation is carried out within 5 hours in 1 day consisting of 2 hours of discussion lectures, 3 hours of simulations and demonstrations.
The knowledge results before the training were 93.3% lacking knowledge and 6.7% sufficient knowledge, after being given training 6.7% were good, 63.3% sufficient and 30% insufficient. Meanwhile, skills before training were 0% good, 3.3% sufficient and 96.6% poor, after training 10% were good, 66.7% sufficient and 23.3% poor. Conclusion BHD and home emergency training increases knowledge and skills in the general public
