Abstract

The highest building design was require the deviation due to lateral forces is very important in the planning of tall building structures. To reduce the amount of deviation in the structure can be done by adding special structural elements, such as shear walls. The application of shear walls impact the stiffness of the building structure will increase and decrease the floor deviation. The Asher Bali Transit Hotel building which is located in South Kuta District, Badung regency, Bali. This building has a height of 15 m consisting of 4 floors. Planning is carried out with 2 models are existing model and dual system model. All load inputs, material specifications and structural dimensions are the same and differ only in the addition of shear walls to the building. Based on the results of the analysis of the two models, the largest floor deviation value in existing model is X = 38.968 mm; Y=32.808 mm and for dual system model it is X=11.534 mm; Y=24,717. Based on the results of this analysis it can be seen that with the addition of shear walls there was a decrease in displacement of 81.24% for the X direction and 15.54% for the Y direction. From the results of the analysis of structural reinforcement it can be concluded that there was a decrease in the use of reinforcement due to the addition of shear walls in the direction x. The most significant decrease occurred in K1 column reinforcement from 12 D19 to 12 D16, beam B1 for support area from 5 D19 to 6 D16 and for field area from 4 D19 to 4 D16. From the results of this planning can be used as a consideration in the construction of the next building for the use of shear walls in the structure.
